Zyrtec

Allergy Treatment ZYRTEC(R) Now Available Without a Prescription

I am so pleased with this, as its the only drug for allergies that worked on me. Since some of the others went OTC, my insurance would not pay for zytrec and it costed over 100 a month.

I think the OTC price is still going to be over a dollar a pill.....

Have you tried Zyzal? The newest antihistamine? It's a metabolite of Zyrtec. You are supposed to get the same allergy relief without the sedation you get with Zyrtec. Not certain of the insurance coverage though....

Jill it was $26 at walmart, but of course I forgot to look at how many pills were in the bottle, and how often you need to take it. But I got it once a day so 30 pills a month for over 100 when it was a prescription. The sign at walmart also said that it was 60% lower than prescription cost. But it is still expensive. have not tried that. i will ask about it next time i go to the allergist. but zyrtec has never made me drowsy.
