Used Book Store

I found a used book store today and it made my day. It is in a house that the town owns and run by the library. I went to return some books and saw a sign that said book store open 10-4. So i had to check it out. I got about 20 books for $14. All are like new if not brand spankin new condition. I got a whole bunch for my SIL on parenting and stuff like that. GOt the whole "What to Expect" series (when expecting, the first year, and toddler years), one on breast feeding, one on play, one for daddies, one on baby essentials (teaches how to change diapers, feed, bath, etc) 2 chicken soup for the mother's soul. Got a few novels for me, and some college prep books for a friend who is a junior in high school who I am trying to help out with the whole college and college life thing as both parents never been to college. Just made my day. I love books.

Very cool, I shop like that when I go to Half Price Books!

Hi Kris, I love to go shopping for books (all types) unfortunately I have very few shops here in Munich where I can buy English books (I can read German but it requires a lot of effort and I like to read to relax). Unfortunately the books are so expensive here.

I bought a book at a little English Secondhand Book Shop in Munich near University when I was there last May, and like a good tourist kept everything (including the Business card for the shop) It's called The Munich Readery. The address per the card is (and I apologize if I type thing wrong, but I'm used to US addresses) Augustenstr. 104 80798 Munchen. Thier website is www.readery.de Hope this helps Johnny!

Yep, know the shop very well, its only about 200 yards from my office, just happened to buy a book there last week. Small world isn't it

It is a small world. I loved that little shop. Bought a Wendy Corsi Staub book there, the shopkeeper was very nice to my friend and I, he gave me an extra bookmarker for my scrapbook!

Kris I enjoyed reading about the used book store. I love books too. There's a second hand store about a half hour away from me where they have a lot of used books. Usually the paperbacks sell for about 80 cents.
