new picture in my album

I posted a new pic of my Grandma in my album if you would like to check it out. Her birthday was Sunday, but we had her party last night at her house. The one local TV station sent a lady and a camera and she got interviewed. Again. They did it last year, too.
She's healthy and happy. She insists she's not stubborn, she's just determined! I tease her about that. She's fallen a few times, but has one of those life alert buttons. A couple times the fire department has had to come pick her up. I told her she just wants to look at the young, hunky firemen.
She has an 8th grade education, all they really got in the middle of South Dakota back in the day. One room school house. She had 11 brothers and sisters. Only one brother and one sister are left. She's lived on the Oregon coast since 1944. My mom was 15 when they moved out here. She outlived two husbands.
She still lives alone, though somebody comes over every morning for sure. Her doctor has finally convinced her to have "somebody come in to help." Finally. No, she's not stubborn at all! Heck, ya don't live to 102 if'n yer not a little bit stubborn, eh?
Yeah Grandma!!!!

Hi Becky. Your Grandma looks great, she really has looked after herself through the years. Hope she had a lovely birthday.

thanks!
I don't know why I feel special that she is so old, but I do. We had a blast at her place Tuesday, laughed a whole lot. She's got a great sense of humor as long as you stay in the realm of things she knows about. She's a tad parochial.
She likes my bird tattoo! Says it's the prettiest one she's ever seen, but that I am NOT to get any more. I said, ok, I just won't tell you when I get more. She gave me a stern look, but got over it fast. LOL
