Does Microwaving Food Kill Nutrients?

No! Microwaving and steaming are the two best ways to prepare vegetables without killing nutrients. Personally, I prefer steaming veggies until they're still a little crunchy.

Funny little story to share... My grandma and grandpa immigrated from Czechoslovakia. My grandpa HAD to get a microwave when they hit the market. My Grandma refused to use it because she was afraid that the "Micro's" would kill her. LOL!

I can remeber back in the late 70s, I think it was, when I had my first microwave oven and had zo check it every now and again with a little meter to see if it was leaking

I also recall not that many years ago, a work colleague said that she "would never have a microwave oven in her kitchen beacuse she does not warm up leftovers!". I tried to point out to her that you can cook a complete and very healthy meal in a microwave (much to no avail).
