Heller Myotomy and time
I had a ruptured esphigous 12 years ago from a car accident. The doctors had to do a lot of surgeries on me to fix a lot of the damage. I had a rupttured eaphegous and needed to have my eashogus resected, which is called a Heller Myotomy. One the problems that they could fix was a chronic condition that caused spasms in my esphagus. So the doctors tried many idfferent meds to calm this condition. If I drink a hot cup of coffee, this woll set off spasms. So I have been on Ativan for years. For the last 5 months, the spasms have gotten worse and the chest tightness have slowly gotten worse.
Maybe I am becoming resistant to the drugs, maybe the condition is worsening, no one seems to know. But Thursday the docs are scoping me to see what is going on. So we shall see what the docs think after that.
