OK, I couldn't resist joining my friends here, I am Richard from Kingston, NY. I have had Type 1 diabetes for 62 years. I was diagnosed in 1945 when I was 6. I am very lucky to have only a few minor complications. Other than diabetes my most bothersome diseases are Rheumatoid Arthritis (noncrippling) and Old Age. Old geezers like me are unpredictable, we do crazy things. <sigh> I have decided that when I die it will be from something that is not diabetic related. Happy to be here!
