I'm going to go ahead and start a thread in this new forum. I'm interested to hear other members secrets to their own marriages.
My husband and I will be married 34 years this July. I got married at a young age (I just turned 20 - yikes - and my husband was 25) and I guess our secret is communication...and respect. Sure we've had our ups and downs. We've had our knock down drag outs. But above all, we respect each other. Neither one of us would ever dream of embarassing the other in public. Communication is so important. Do we have our differences? Sure we do. Lots. We actually come from different countries and cultures. But I think our differences are what makes us work. We've both had to sacrifice a lot to be together. But when it comes down to it, he's my best friend.
Anyone else??
