What;s the most romantic thing your spouse has ever done for you?

I was day dreaming this morning about my fabulous husband (I know sappy but it's true) He isn't big on romance but when he get in the mood it's simply perfect. I was thinking about the sweetest moment I have ever shared with him so I thought I would share with all of you.

We had been working VERY hard on our yard all day. Both of us were gushing buckets of sweat and had dirt caked on arms, legs and faces. The garage doors were open and we were blasting country music so keep us partially entertained. Over the course of the day we started becoming agitated with each other. (Heat, sweat, dirt and teamwork only lasts for so long before you get on each other's nerves) A sweet romantic song came on the radio. He met me in the front yard, took my shovel and laid it down and insisted that I share a slow dance with him. There we stood in broad daylight in our front yard, covered in dirt and sweat slow dancing. I think I fell in love with him again.

It doesn't seem like a lot, but it mean a lot to me that day.

What is something special your spouse has done for you or what do they still do that makes your heart pound?

Wow, that is soooooo cool! What a darlin'!
The first thing that comes to mind for me is a little "tradition" we have. For starters, he always opens doors for me. When we're going somewhere we almost always take his car and he drives. And when he opens my door, I give him a kiss and tell him thank you. (conversly, if we take my car, I open his door and he kisses me!) If either of us gets distracted or in a rush and forgets, the other is sure to gently remind. I was distracted once and got in and sat down and he just stood there, and stood there, and I finally looked up and he had a sad ole puppy dog face. I was out like a flash with an apology and a bigger kiss than usual! Small things like that are very bonding.

Well, the sweetest thing my hubby has done for me it take over picking the kidlet up from daycare and coming home to cook dinner, then wake me up....... that doesn't sound like much, but he did this for THREE years while i was sleeping 22 hours a day due to mononucleosis

he never once complained, he never made me feel like i was 'just being lazy', he just quietly went about doing the things that i was unable to do, providing me with invaluable assistance at a time when i really needed it

i'll never forget his kindness

Kate that is awesome too!

It's funny how we define "Romantic" Some of us need to see Flowers, balloons, cards and candy to feel as though the moment was romantic and then others see behavior as romantic.

My husband is very romantic, even though I don't give him enough credit for it :)

One of the most romantic things he does is when I have low blood sugar and need juice, he's up out of bed and if you know David at all, he HATES getting out of bed.

The most romantic moment that we have shared together is probably when he proposed to me. I had just gotten home from a 12 hour day of work and was exhausted. I was sitting on the couch in my pj's eating ice cream and watching TV. David comes home from playing paintball with his friends and is covered in dirt and sweat. I am not wanting to be bothered, and before he goes to take a shower he asks me if I will do him the honor of having one dance with him. Reluctantly, I oblige. When he gets out of the shower, I let him lead me around while the iPod plays the "One Note Samba". When the next song comes on, Come Rain or Come Shine, David asks me if I trust him. I answered, "of course" and he gets down on one knee and proposes.

I am sure that we will continue to have moments like this for the rest of our lives. Thanks for starting this thread! It brought back a lot of wonderful memories on this very cold day.

When I broke my leg and was in a cast for 3 months, he rubbed my really stinky toes every day. And if you've ever been in a cast, you know how good it feels and just how horribly stinky it is.

He WUVS MEEEEE!!!!
