The Breast Crawl

I have plenty of conversations about babies these days and I think I may have had one of the most interesting conversations EVER. The Breast Crawl. Essentially when a baby is born it is placed on the mother’s bare stomach/chest and the infant will root its way to the breast to feed. Nature takes over in full. The baby even attaches itself correctly. Check out the info below I found. It is so interesting!!!

This is not a common method I have found. Not too many people have even heard of this! I have an OB appt next week and I planned on speaking with the midwife about this method. I would like to actually hear from a professional what the pro is to doing this vs. simply latching the baby on. I’ll have to update this after I talk to her. If she can tell me an absolute benefit to doing this I may try this method when I have our son Dane.

Isn’t this the coolest thing you have ever seen?

AWESOME! Dang, sure gets the granny hormones pumping. I'm still borrowing other people's grandkids.
