Tags

What is the tag section? I though at first we had to type in the subject so it gets pulled in searches, but then noticed no one used it. Am I supposed to put something in there.

Kris and Terri, if you click on "tag" you will get a list of them. You can then click on any one of the tags in that list and be directed to posts that involve that tag. I haven't really explored it that much yet but I think that is where it will lead you.

Richard is right. It's a way to classify threads that go beyond just the forum they are in. There's a tag search function so that you can find other posts with the same tag. You can put tags on your threads or add them to anyone else's. A lot of other sites use tags like Technorati, Flickr, Blogger, LiveJournal, etc. Gmail uses "labels" which are basically just tags.
