down 5 lbs

I am down 5 lbs since the start of this year. I am so proud. I went to get some new jeans though today as some of the ones I have are a bit big in the butt now. And I was very discouraged. I had to get an even larger size then I have now. Goes to show how much different name brands and sizes varies. I read an article on Yahoo last week about how 1 shirt is 3 or 4 different sizes in different brands but basically the same shirt. they also were saying that A&F jeans in a size 2 is like another brands (sorry forget the name) size 6. To show the difference today, I got 3 pairs of jeans. Mudd jeans in a size 17 that are a bit tight (but the price was right), Angel Jeans in a size 13, and some jeans from target in a size 15. I held them up to my recently washed (so they were back to size and not stretched out) jeans that are a size 11 and the new ones were smaller than the old ones but have larger size numbers. Its insane. I swear with all the girls having to be stick thin (anorexic looking) that the designers had to cut their sizes so much smaller. I am so happy that I went to try on the jeans instead of ordering...i would have gotten a size 9 and been very disappointed when they didn't fit. Now my wardrobe extends from a 9 to a 17 and they all fit about the same (with the exception of a few being baggy) But no matter what the size (as thats just a number on an itchy label) I am proud of my accomplish.

YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Losing weight is such an accomplishment. I personally refuse to take off my size 12 jeans. So I know how you feel

you go, Kris! that is precisely when i never bother to shop for clothes online, unlike some of my naturally slim friends who get perfect fitting clothes every time. but still, way to go. you'll do great!
